Based in Bangor, Maine, Lawsmith Legal Services, L.L.C., is a sole-practitioner firm with an abundance of hard work and intellect behind it.  As an attorney, I specialize in employee-side workers' compensation claims and criminal defense cases. In addition, I sometimes handle civil cases regarding protection from abuse or harassment.

I am licensed to practice in Maine and am a member of the Maine State Bar Association and Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. I have appeared before the Maine Workers' Compensation Board in Bangor, Augusta, Portland, Lewiston, Caribou, and Calais; and I have appeared in the state courts in Bangor, Newport, Belfast, Ellsworth, Augusta, Machias, Calais, Rockland, Waterville, Skowhegan, South Paris, Millinocket, Lincoln, Dover-Foxcroft, Presque Isle, and Caribou, in addition to the Supreme Judicial Court (also known as the Law Court).

I take workers’ compensation cases statewide. I consider appeals on a case-by-case basis. I serve the following areas for criminal cases: Penobscot County, including Bangor, Brewer, Hampden, Orono, Newport, Old Town,  Lincoln, and Millinocket; Waldo County, including Belfast, Searsport, Searsmont, Lincolnville, Frankfort, and Winterport; Hancock County, including Ellsworth, Bucksport, Mount Desert, Bar Harbor, Blue Hill, Deer Isle, Stonington, Dedham, and Castine; and Piscataquis County, including Dover-Foxcroft, Milo, and Greenville.
